With the football season opener less than a month away, the University of South Carolina Athletics Ticket Office has announced its mailing dates for 2006 football tickets.

• Tickets to the Aug. 31 season opener at Mississippi State will be mailed on Thursday, Aug. 10.

• Season tickets and mini-packs will be mailed on Friday, Aug. 18.

• Tickets to the Vanderbilt and Kentucky road games will be mailed on Friday, Aug. 25.

• Tickets to the Florida and Clemson road games will be mailed at a later date to be determined.

In addition, Gamecock fans will experience the latest in technology when they arrive for the home opener on Sept. 9 against Georgia. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the gates to Williams-Brice Stadium early, as a new barcode scanning system will be utilized to gain access to the stadium.
