Columbia, SC – At the conclusion of the Sea Ray Relays (Knoxville, Tenn.) Saturday, South Carolina’s Shalonda Solomon and Sarah Wilfred of Cornell were honored as the Tony Wilson Award winners for running events and field events, respectively.
Solomon swept the open 100m dash (11.12) and invitational 200m dash (22.53). Both the 100m and 200m times are No. 1 in the NCAA this year.
She also anchored USC’s 4x100m relay (44.22) to victory and ran the second leg on the winning 4x200m assemblage (1:35.08).
