ATLANTA, Ga. – South Carolina had three participants compete in day one of the Men’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on the campus of Georgia Tech University, but was unable to qualify any finalists.
Sophomore Dan White finished 29th in the 500 free with a time of 4:25.99 and sophomore Kyle Cormier finished 42nd in the 200 IM with a time of 1:50.04.
Freshman diver David Ovelson competed on the one-meter board and recorded a score of 271.80 to finish 26th.
The Gamecocks will continue competition on day two when Colby Mack is scheduled to swim the 200 free and the 800-free relay team of White, Mack, Cormier and Christian Robledo will race.
