Columbia, S.C. –
The University of South Carolina football program will host Carolina Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, August 14 from 1 – 3 pm in the Colonial Center. In addition to the Gamecock football team and coaches, the Gamecock volleyball, men’s soccer and women’s soccer teams will also be on hand, signing posters and passing out schedule cards.
Cocky and the Carolina cheerleaders will be on hand. The video board and televisions will show the Carolina Football Spring Game that was shown live ESPN on April 16. Concession stands will be open as well.
Fan Appreciation Day is open to the public and free of charge. Doors will open at 12:45 pm so fans can get in line for autographs and also enjoy concessions. The Day will be hosted in the Colonial Center due to excessive heat in August.
The football players and all coaches (including Coach Spurrier) will ONLY SIGN the schedule poster that will be provided by USC that day. They will not sign helmets, hats or any other souvenirs so they can keep the lines moving. Fans will be allowed to take photos, but will not be allowed behind the autograph tables.
Junior Gamecock Club members – make note – there will be a special autograph table for you with special activities as well.
In addition, the Colonial Center box office will be open for tickets sales for upcoming events – including the NBA Exhibition game between the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs and the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, October 12.
