Columbia, S. C. – The University of South Carolina men’s soccer team released the Spring 2002 schedule, with the first of five matches beginning next weekend. USC will open the spring season at College of Charleston on Saturday, Feb. 23 and will face the Cougars and the Jacksonville University Dolphins.

USC will host three matches in March against USC-Spartanburg (March 3), the Charlotte Eagles professional soccer team (March 23) and Lander University (March 26). The Eagles are a member of the A-league.

The final two spring matches will be played on April 3 and April 13. Former Gamecock assistant coach Dave Golan will face USC Head Coach Mark Berson for the first time on April 6th as the head coach of Appalachian State.

The season will conclude with an alumni match on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. All home matches will be held at Stone Stadium and are free of charge.

Saturday, Feb. 23 at College of Charleston vs. Charleston and Jacksonville

Sunday, March 3 home vs. USC-Spartanburg at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 23 home vs. Charlotte Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 26 Home vs. Lander College at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 6 home vs. Appalachian State at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 13 home vs. Alumni at 2:00 p.m.
