South Carolina Swimming and Diving Travels to Gainesville

The University of South Carolina swimming and diving team will travel to Gainesville to take on SEC rival Florida on Friday at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center Natatorium. The women will also compete against the University of Miami and the men will take on the Longhorns of Texas. The meet is slated to start at 10 a.m. on Friday and the women will wrap up competition on Saturday.

The Gamecocks are 1-0 in dual meet action this year, coming off a win against Clemson last Friday at the Carolina Natatorium. The women were led by newcomers Heather Roffey and Christi Williams, and senior diver Lauren King in their 164-79 win last week. Freshman Dan White and senior diver Andy Bradley led the men to a 140.5-99.5 victory over the Tigers.

South Carolina men hold a 4-20 record against the Gators while the women are 0-13.
