Gamecocks Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

12th-straight semester both programs have earned the academic honor

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina swimming and diving continued to show its academic prowess as the men’s and women’s programs were named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Associations (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for the spring 2021 semester. The Scholar All-America team includes 721 teams from 424 institutions across the country.
 
The 47-member Gamecock women’s squad had an impressive 3.74 spring GPA with a 18 members on the President’s List (4.0 GPA), 16 on the Dean’s List (3.5 or higher GPA) and 45 on the AD Honor Roll (3.0 or higher GPA). The 28-member men’s team had a 3.26 spring GPA with four on the President’s List, nine on the Dean’s List and 19 on the AD Honor Roll.
 
It’s the 12th straight semester both the men’s and women’s teams have earned the honor.
 
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
