Nyck Harbor

Highly-touted wide receiver who returns for his second season after undergoing on-the-job training as a true freshman in 2023… has all the measurables to be a standout performer, notably his world-class speed… did not participate in spring drills as he competed with the Carolina track & field team… finished fifth at the SEC indoor track & field championships with a 20.87 clocking in the 200 meters and posted a 6.73-second 60 meter dash to place eighth… recorded best times during the outdoor season of 10.11 in the 100m dash and 20.20 in the 200, earning second-team All-America honors in both events… earned co-SEC Freshman of the Week accolades after posting the third-fastest 100 meters in school history. 

2023 (Freshman)

True freshman who joined the team in the summer and saw his playing time increase as the season progressed… played in all 12 games, starting the final five… Caught a dozen passes for 195 yards, an average of 16.3 yards per catch, with one touchdown… also rushed twice for 10 yards… his touchdown came from seven-yards out against Furman on his first career pass reception… best game came at Texas A&M when he set season highs with six receptions for 59 yards… longest reception went for 45 yards against Florida… ranked No. 1 on Bruce Feldman’s annual preseason “Freaks List.”

HIGH SCHOOL

Two-sport athlete at Archbishop Carroll High School in the nation’s capital… graduated in 2023… played both tight end and defensive end and doubled as sprinter on the track… was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in the District of Columbia, a two-time DSCAA Football Class AA Player of the Year and a two-time all-conference honoree… named the co-Defensive Player of the Year in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Metro Division as a senior… offensively, he caught 15 passes for 439 yards and five touchdowns while helping the Lions to a conference championship and an appearance in the state semifinals with a 10-3 mark in 2022… recorded 45 tackles including 16.5 tackles for loss with 5.5 sacks on defense, also forcing five fumbles and blocking two punts… as a junior in 2021, he caught 16 passes for 290 yards and five scores and racked up 17 sacks, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two blocked punts… the Lions went 13-1 and captured the DSCAA state championship at Class AA in 2021… coached by Robert Harris… participated in the Under Armour All-America Game following the season… was a two-time Gatorade Boys Track & Field Player of the Year in the District of Columbia (2021-22)… swept the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the 2021 and 2022 state meet, and is the state record-holder in both events… 247Sports Composite ranks him as the best player in D.C., the top “athlete” in the country and No. 19 in the nation overall… rated the top player in the District of Columbia, the No. 1-rated “athlete” in the country and No. 19 overall in the On3Consensus… Rivals considers him the top player in D.C., the No. 1 tight end in the country and the 26th-best player overall… ranked as the top player in the nation’s capital, the No. 1 “athlete” in the country and No. 39 overall on the ESPN300.
