Fry Named to USA Swimming Junior National Team

Columbia, S.C. – USA Swimming announced its 2023-24 Junior National Team roster on Monday. The roster includes South Carolina men’s swimming freshman Connor Fry.

Athletes are eligible for the Junior National Team if they are 18 or younger as of December 31, 2023, did not compete individually at the World Aquatics Championships, and were not named to the U.S. National Team. Swimmers are selected based off their performances between January 1 and September 10, 2023.

Fry, a native of Humble, Texas, is a distance specialist and will compete in the 10K. Of the full 74-member roster, Fry is one of 49 to see their first time on the Junior National Team.

The freshman will see his first action in the water as a Gamecock coming up later this month when the swim & dive team opens the season at UNCW on September 29 at 4:00 p.m.
