Pelzek Wraps Second Day of NCAAs

Athens, Ga. – South Carolina’s Greta Pelzek represented the swim team on the second day of the NCAA Championships Thursday.

The junior competed in the 200 IM where she placed 57th with a time of 1:59.30. Pelzek earned her invitation to participate in the event after posting a 1:57.39 at the SEC Championships. The time put her at third in the program’s all-time top-10.

The NCAA Championships will continue on Friday with the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, 3-meter diving, and the 400 medley relay. South Carolina will have one swimmer each in the 400 IM and 200 free with two representatives in the 100 back and a trio of Gamecocks in the 100 fly.
