Gamecocks Named ITA All-Academic Team
TEMPE, Ariz. – For the sixth-consecutive year, the South Carolina women’s tennis program has been named an ITA All-Academic Team and seven student-athletes have earned the honor of ITA Scholar-Athlete as announced Thursday afternoon.
Those seven include Silvia Chinellato, Paige Cline, Megan Davies, Ingrid Martins, Rachel Rohrabacher, Giulia Turconi and Kennedy Wicker.
The 2018-19 academic year saw the women’s team post the second-highest GPA in department history at 3.839.
All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. ITA scholar-athletes must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
