Dalevon Campbell Named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List

University of South Carolina senior wide receiver Dalevon Campbell is on the watch list for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, it was announced today.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is an award given annually to the “top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity.”

The award is limited to players who were born in the state of Texas, attended a Texas high school, or attended a Texas junior college or university. The award was established in 2012 by the Tyler Chamber of Commerce in Tyler, Texas and is presented by SPORTyler, Inc., in conjunction with the City of Tyler, the Tyler Convention & Visitors Bureau and Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dalevon Campbell, a 6-4, 220-pound graduate transfer from Missouri City, Texas, began his career at Illinois. He spent three seasons in Champaign before transferring to Nevada prior to the 2022 season. Over the past two seasons with the Wolf Pack, Campbell hauled in 70 passes for 861 yards and three touchdowns. He earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention honors in 2023.

The Watch List announced today will be narrowed to up to 16 semifinalists in November and then up to five finalists in December. They will be selected by broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans and previous winners. The finalists will be brought to Tyler for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet, scheduled for Jan. 22, 2025.
