Everything you need to know including all the details for ESPN's College GameDay

After defeating Kentucky to move to 2-0 on the season, the Gamecocks return home to a sold out Williams-Brice Stadium for the first of two back-to-back home games on Saturday. Kick off vs. the LSU Tigers is set for 12:12 p.m. on ABC. It’ll be a busy few days in Gamecock Country with ESPN’s College GameDay coming to town.

Check out some of the things happening around Saturday’s game.

College GameDay comes to town

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will be live from Gamecock Park this weekend.

Location: GameDay will broadcast live from the Tommy Suggs Garnet Way inside Gamecock Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before moving the broadcast to the sidelines of Williams-Brice Stadium for the final hour of the show.

Saturday Opening Times: Gamecock Park will open for GameDay at 6 a.m. and the ESPN GameDay pit will open at 6:30 a.m.

Parking: All Athletics controlled parking lots (Gamecock Park, Woodstock and Armory) and all of LMC Fair Park will open at 6 a.m. for fans with a pre-purchased parking pass. All single game parking in these lots are sold out for this game.

Shuttles: An early shuttle will run beginning at 5:45 a.m. The shuttle will have three stops (Russell House, Colonial Life Arena and Campus Village). Students may ride the shuttle for free from any location. All other fans can ride the shuttle from the Russell House or Colonial Life Arena for $5 per person. Parking is available in the Bull Street Garage and Lincoln Street lots for $20 per car. The early shuttle will drop riders off inside Gamecock Park. At 8 a.m., the early shuttle will stop and the normal game day shuttle will begin with three locations for pickup (Colonial Life Arena, Russell House and Campus Village). The normal game day shuttle will drop fans off inside the Fairgrounds.

Friday: Gamecock Park will be open for fans to stop by the ESPN College GameDay set throughout the day. The set will also be the location of SportsCenter hits throughout Friday and the College Football Live show at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. All fans and vehicles will need to be cleared from Gamecock Park by 7 p.m.

Students: Breakfast and a free t-shirt will be provided to the first 600 students to arrive in Gamecock Park on Saturday once the gates open at 6 a.m.

Gamecock Village presented by Farm Bureau Insurance

Gamecock Village presented by Farm Bureau Insurance will be packed this week. It opens at 8 a.m., so be sure to stop by before you head into Williams-Brice Stadium!

  • Women’s Basketball Autographs: The Gamecock women’s basketball team will be signing autographs between 9:15 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the Gamecock Club activation area
  • Live Music: The Reggie Sullivan Band will provide the entertainment throughout the day
  • Get the latest gear: Stop by the Palmetto Shirt Co. tent to get the latest Gamecock gear
  • Food & Drinks: We’ll have multiple food trucks on site serving all types of food for you to grab some grub before you head into the stadium. Beer and seltzer will also be available for purchase in multiple locations throughout Gamecock Village.
  • My First Gamecock Game: If it’s your first Gamecock game, be sure to stop by the marketing table inside Gamecock Village to commemorate your first game

  • Rewards: Be sure to check in once you get into Williams-Brice Stadium to earn points for attending. These points can be redeemed for various prizes and sweepstakes.
  • Gamecock Club Concessions Discount: Gamecock Club members can receive a 10% discount on certain concessions items at specific stands at Williams-Brice Stadium by scanning their Forever Garnet QR Code ID inside the Forever Garnet App.

Gamecock Walk and Pregame Pep Rally

The team will arrive around 10 a.m., and head into the stadium lead by Cocky, the drumline and our spirit teams. Get a spot early along the Tommy Suggs Garnet Way to cheer the Gamecocks on as they head into the stadium.

After Gamecock Walk, head over to the Gamecock Park Amphitheater for the Pregame Pep Rally featuring the Mighty Sound of the Southeast and our spirit teams, which begins around 10:20 a.m.

In-Game

Prior to the game, we will recognize radio color analyst and philanthropic donor Tommy Suggs for his gift of the Tommy Suggs 2001 Gamecock Football Entrance. At halftime, be sure to stay in your seats to help us recognize our 2024 National Champion Gamecock Women’s Basketball team
