Emmanwori Named Quarterfinalist for the 2024 Lott IMPACT® Trophy

University of South Carolina junior safety Nick Emmanwori has been named one of 16 quarterfinalists for the 2024 Lott IMPACT® Trophy, the Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation announced today.

Emmanwori, a 6-3, 227-pounder from Irmo, S.C., is the Gamecocks’ leading tackler at the halfway point of the season with 38 tackles including 26 solo stops. The leader of the Carolina secondary, Emmanwori owns a pair of interceptions this season, including a pick-six at Kentucky. The best teams bring out the best in Emmanwori, as he had a season-high nine tackles against both LSU and Alabama. Prior to the start of the season, he was listed 11th on Bruce Feldman’s annual “Freaks List.”

The Lott IMPACT® Trophy is awarded annually to the student-athlete who best exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT® on and off the field. IMPACT® is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

Semifinalists will be chosen in late November with finalists in December. The finalists will be invited to attend the annual Lott IMPACT® Trophy award show on December 9, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2024 Lott IMPACT® Trophy Quarterfinalists include four defensive linemen, four linebackers, and eight defensive backs.

About the Lott IMPACT® Trophy:
Named after Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Ronnie Lott, The Lott IMPACT® Trophy is awarded to college football’s Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year. Founded in 2004 by The Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, The Lott Trophy is the first and only college football award to recognize both athletic performance and the personal character attributes of the player.

The Lott IMPACT® Trophy is given to the player who exhibits the same characteristics Lott embodied during his distinguished career: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
