Demon Clowney Bio
Edge rusher who joined the Gamecocks in the summer… began his career at Ole Miss… spent three seasons in Oxford before transferring to Charlotte for the 2023 and 2024 seasons… was on the Louisville roster in the spring of 2025… has appeared in 33 games with eight starts over the past five seasons, logging 69 tackles including 13.0 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks… bigger body who is solid against the run.
2024 (Redshirt Senior)
Played his second season at Charlotte for head coach Biff Poggi… appeared in 10 games for the 49ers making three starts… credited with 26 tackles including 6.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks… added one quarterback hurry… earned starts against East Carolina, Navy and Memphis… posted a season-high four tackles on three occasions – Gardner-Webb, Indiana and Memphis… logged 2.0 tackles for loss including a sack at Memphis.
2023 (Redshirt Junior)
Spent the season at Charlotte where he played in all 12 games making five starts… logged 33 tackles with 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks… added four quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery… recovered a fumble against Florida… had a career-high six tackles against Navy… also had five stops against Georgia State… credited with three quarterback hurries against Memphis.
2022 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Appeared in three games for Ole Miss… credited with four tackles including 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack… both TFLs came at Georgia Tech… also played against Central Arkansas and Texas A&M.
2021 (Redshirt Freshman)
Saw action in six games as a reserve defensive end… logged four tackles… posted his first career sack and two hurries against Austin Peay… also saw action against Tulane, LSU, Liberty, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State.
2020 (Freshman)
Enrolled early and went through spring drills at Ole Miss… appeared in a pair of contests as a true freshman… notched two tackles… made his debut at Vanderbilt, playing 25 plays at defensive end… recorded his first tackle in that contest… also appeared against Mississippi State and credited with a tackle.

Graduated from Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Md… was a three-year letetterwinner… earned second team All-Metro honors as a senior… led SFA to undefeated seasons and two MIAA A Conference championships as both a sophomore and junior… coached by Henry Russell.

Demon Troy Clowney was born Dec. 25, 2000… earned a degree in health systems management from Charlotte in December 2024… is a cousin of Gamecock legend Jadeveon Clowney.
