Head Coach Jeff Poppell on the Team’s Performance
“Fantastic meet for our women today. It’s been quite a week with the meet against Georgia on Wednesday, followed by a flight out to Fayetteville to compete against Arkansas this morning. I’m really proud of the way that the women handled themselves and the rigors of the week to put together two consecutive great performances. We saw several outstanding performances from both our swimmers and our divers, which included a new pool record by Amy Riordan in the 100 Back, double wins from Nora Fluck, Delaney Franklin, and Sophie Verzyl, and the first event win of her career for freshman Tori Abruzzo in the 200 Back. Our season is off to a strong start for sure!”
