Dayne Arnett Bio

Offensive lineman who transferred to South Carolina in January 2026… primarily a tackle at Ferris State (Big Rapids, Mich.) but has some position flexibility… played in 33 contests over the past three seasons… the Bulldogs won the D2 title in three of his four seasons on campus, boasting a 52-5 record with wins in their last 30 contests.

2025 (Redshirt Junior)
Starting offensive left tackle for the Division II National Champions at Ferris State… the Bulldogs captured the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) title with a 7-0 mark, then defeated Northwood, Ashland, Minnesota State, Newberry and Harding to become the first D2 team to finish the season with a perfect 16-0 record and the Division II national championship… earned first-team all-conference honors… played for head coach Tony Annese while his offensive line coach was Brian Rock… the Bulldogs ranked first in the country in scoring and total offense, second in rushing offense and third in sacks allowed and tackles for loss allowed.

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore)
A starter on the offensive line for the national champions… blocked for quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who later starred at Ole Miss… played in 11 contests… the Bulldogs posted a 14-1 record overall including a perfect 7-0 mark in the GLIAC… only loss came in the season opener at Pittsburg State (Kan.), then the Bulldogs reeled off 14-straight wins to win the NCAA Division II National Championship… defeated Central Oklahoma, Harding, Slippery Rock and Valdosta State in the playoffs.

2023 (Redshirt Freshman)
Played in seven contests on the offensive line in his redshirt freshman season at Ferris State… the Bulldogs posted an 8-3 record and fell in the first round of the D2 Playoffs to Grand Valley State.

2022 (Freshman)
Redshirted in his first season at Ferris State… the Bulldogs went 14-1, winning their last nine in a row to capture the Division II National Championship… defeated Davenport, Pittsburg State, Grand Valley State, West Florida and Colorado Mines in the playoffs to win the title.

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Grand Haven (Mich.) High School… played on both the offensive and defensive lines along with H-Back and linebacker during his prep career… Muskegon Chronicle All-Area Dream Team honoree… three-sport varsity athlete… also competed in wrestling and rugby… three-time all-conference choice and four-year letterwinner… coached by Mike Farley… earned Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Division 1 All-Region kudos… named to the 2021 Detroit Free Press Michigan All-State Division 1-2 Team… was an all-state wrestler for Grand Haven.
