Vincent Named SEC Diver of the Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina senior Julia Vincent has been selected as the Southeastern Conference Women’s Co-Diver of the Week, the SEC office announced today. This is the fourth SEC weekly honor of Vincent’s career.
Vincent has had an outstanding fall season to date, placing in the top two in every contest so far this year.
Last week, the Gamecocks competed at Purdue and Cincinnati in a packed weekend schedule. Vincent competed in the 1-meter and 3-meter at both meets. At Purdue, the Johannesburg, South Africa native placed first in the 1-meter with a score of 298.95 and second in the 3-meter with a score of 309.08.
Vincent had a stellar meet at Cincinnati, taking first in both women’s diving events. She also broke the pool records in both events, scoring 370.35 in the 1-meter and 333.07 in the 3-meter.
Vincent and the Gamecocks will be back in action on Thursday, when they kick off homecoming weekend with their first home meet of the season against North Carolina at 4 p.m.
