South Carolina football is off to a great start with back-to-back wins away from home. As fans get set for the first home game on Saturday, the Gamecocks want to let you know what’s new in and around Williams-Brice Stadium in 2017 that will create a better fan experience for all.

The Lexington Medical Center Gamecock Village on Bluff Road continues to be a must-see destination before each home game with interactive games, sponsor giveaways, and inflatables for the kids.

The party is bigger and better this year with live music on site each week, beginning with the Kenny George Band before the game against Kentucky.

Small contingents of the Carolina Band will be performing throughout tailgating areas 2 ½ hours prior to kickoff.

Look for members of the Carolina Band mingling with fans throughout Gamecock Park and the fair grounds to help create the proper game day atmosphere during the Carolina Band “tailgate takeover.”

Inside the stadium, fans will notice significant upgrades to the concessions areas. South Carolina recently contracted with Aramark for its food and beverages, which will provide quality items and service with expanded menus expected in the future. Additionally, you no longer have to worry about stopping at the ATM before the game as every point of purchase inside the stadium will accept debit/credit cards.

The greatest entrance in college football is even more explosive as the Gamecocks will still run out to the theme of “2001,” but they’ll now be accompanied by pyrotechnics as they come on to the field.

Get ready to get loud!

The endzone video board will be utilized more than ever before with new lineup introductions, player “stingers,” as well as spectacular videos from Gamecock Athletics, including a new video to be played at the start of the fourth quarter.

Don’t forget, this Saturday’s game is a “blackout,” and the Gamecocks invite fans to participate by wearing black attire. Go Gamecocks!
