GREENSBORO, N.C. – The South Carolina women’s swimming and diving team concluded up the second day of competition at the 2015 NCAA Championships on Friday in the preliminaries at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Freshman Meredith Vay finished tied for 37th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:46.72, which is .78 off her personal best.

In the women’s three-meter preliminary freshman Julia Vincent finished in 17th place with a score of 320.65 while senior Patricia Kranz placed 36th with a score of 286.85

“Meredith (Vay) had a solid swim this morning. It was a little off her time from the SEC Championships, but a strong performance on a very big stage. I am very proud of how she is representing out program and the University of South Carolina.”

UP NEXT
The Gamecock women conclude the NCAA Championships on Saturday with the third and final day of competition. Vay will swim in the 100 freestyle with preliminaries begin at 11 a.m. with finals to follow at 7 pm.
