Charles Jackson Jr.

Reverend Charles B. Jackson, Jr. is in his eighth season as the Gamecock Football’s Director of Character and Life Skills. 

A Columbia native, Jackson graduated from South Carolina State with a business management degree.

Jackson continued his education at the Morehouse School of Religion on the campus of the ITC in Atlanta where earned the Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Homiletics. Jackson is also clinically certified by Palmetto Health, having completed an extensive unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.

Jackson received his license to preach the Gospel in 2001 and was ordained into the ministry in 2002.  He is presently the pastor of the New Laurel Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Jackson and his wife, Iva, have four children,  Charles III (“Tre”), Caleb, Carter and Kayla.
