South Carolina All-American defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been nominated for a 2013 ESPY Award for “Best Play” for his hit and fumble recovery during the Gamecocks’ Outback Bowl victory over Michigan on January 1, 2013.
There are 16 nominees for the award with Clowney earning the No. 1 seed in a bracket-style vote to determine the winner.
Fans may vote for Clowney at ESPN.com/espys Click on “Best Play” under the award categories, select Clowney’s match-up, then click “Submit Vote”.
First round voting runs June 27 through July 8 with winners advancing to the next round. Round of 8 voting will run July 8-14 and the finals will be July 15-17. Voting will end on July 17 at 9 p.m. ET.
The ESPY Awards will air on ESPN on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at 9 p.m. ET.
