BATON ROUGE, La. – Senior Breanna Radford was the lone Gamecock in action on Friday night, competing in the women’s shot put at the LSU NCAA Indoor Qualifier. Radford finished second in the event, with a throw of 54-08.75 (16.68m). The mark puts her in 18th place in the collegiate ranks.

The mark is a new PR and betters her second-ranked entry in the South Carolina record book. It is also the sixth time this season she has set a new personal best. Radford has won five events during the indoor season, finishing in the top five of her other shot put events. Last weekend, she won bronze at the 2013 SEC Indoor Championships.

The rest of the Gamecocks competing in NCAA Last Chance Qualifiers will be in action tomorrow at the Virginia Tech Final Qualifier and the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame.
