Ten University of South Carolina football players earned spots on Phil Steele’s 2012 Midseason All-SEC squads, it was announced today.
Junior running back Marcus Lattimore and sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney earned spots on Steele’s first-team 2012 Midseason All-SEC squad.
A quartet of seniors – center T.J. Johnson, defensive end Devin Taylor, linebacker Shaq Wilson and safety D.J. Swearinger all earned spots on the second team, according to Steele.
Junior quarterback Connor Shaw, sophomore offensive guard A.J. Cann, sophomore defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles and junior punt returner Ace Sanders all were named to Steele’s third-team Midseason All-SEC team.
Earlier this week, Steele named Clowney to his 2012 Midseason first-team All-America squad, while Johnson earned second-team honors and Sanders was a fourth-team Midseason All-America selection.
