The University of South Carolina football squad worked out Tuesday afternoon at the Bluff Road practice fields. The 9-2 Gamecocks (No. 14 AP/13 Coaches/12 BCS) are preparing for their regular season finale on Saturday against their in-state rivals, the 9-2 Clemson Tigers (No. 16 AP/17 Coaches/17 BCS). Game time is set for 7:45 p.m. at a sold out Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. ESPN will televise the game nationally with Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe describing the action.

Several players who have been on the injury list practiced on Tuesday, including linebackers Shaq Wilson, Reginald Bowens and Qua Gilchrist, safeties DeVonte Holloman and D.J. Swearinger and wide receiver Bruce Ellington. Jadeveon Clowney, Quin Smith and Damario Jeffery did not practice on Tuesday.

Following Tuesday’s practice, defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward addressed the injury situation. “We’re not 100 percent, but we’ve got guys that understand that this is a big challenge for us, an in-state game and a lot riding on this football game. We’ll be fine come Saturday.”

The Gamecocks will return to the practice fields on Wednesday afternoon.
