University of South Carolina sophomore wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been selected to the 67th Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America team, it was announced today.

Jeffery, a 6-4, 233-pounder from St. Matthews, S.C., set South Carolina school records in both receptions (79) and receiving yards in a season (1,387). He was one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the nation’s top receiver and has been a unanimous first-team All-SEC selection. He was a first-team All-American according to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and earned second team All-America honors by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

The FWAA has named an All-America team in some form since 1944. The FWAA All-America Team is the second-longest continuously-published team in major college football.
