After a questionable first down for Michigan, Jadeveon Clowney came up with a monster hit on the very next play, forcing and recovering a fumble to return the ball to the Gamecocks. On the ensuing play, Connor Shaw found Ace Sanders in the end zone for to give the Gamecocks a 27-22 lead over the Wolverines. Carolina would go on to win 33-28.
