Charles Turner Bio
Experienced senior deep snapper… handles both the short and long snaps… is a three-year starter at the position… former walk-on who has earned a scholarship.
2009: Redshirt junior deep snapper… former walk-on who was added to the scholarship list in the fall… has handled the snapping duties for both punting and placekicking for three straight seasons… recorded a pair of tackles on special teams.
2008: Handled the deep snapping chores both on punts and placements… credited with three tackles on special teams… also recovered a fumble in the win over Tennessee… given the Outstanding Walk-On Award in the spring.
2007: Handled both the punting and placekicking snapping duties… credited with three tackles on punt coverage.
2006: Redshirted as a true freshman.
High School: Graduated from Dorman High School in 2006 where he was coached by Dave Gutshall… earned best special teams player honors to go with a spot on the all-area academic team… member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club… also lettered in baseball.
