DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. – The 22nd-ranked South Carolina women’s tennis team ran its record to 11-1 with a 7-0 whitewashing of host College of Charleston Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference battle at the Family Circle Cup stadium on Daniel Island.

USC jumped all over the Cougars, winning the doubles point with ease. Jennifer Radman and Kathy Boyanovich teamed for an 8-2 win over Gabriella Moreira and Renata Camargo in the No. 1 position. The Gamecocks clinched the point at No. 3 doubles as Katarina Markovski and Ayako Suzuki defeated Whitney Malina and Emily Scatuorchio 8-1.

South Carolina also won at No. 2 doubles as the nation’s 32nd-ranked doubles pair of Lynn-Yin Tan and Jodi Kenoyer improved to 22-2 on the year with an 8-4 win over Maike Hartung and Rachel Magory.

The Gamecocks’ dominance continued into singles play as USC won each of the six contests. Every USC player took home straight set wins. Among the key wins for South Carolina was Jodi Kenoyer’s 6-3, 6-2 win over 146th-ranked Whitney Malina at No. 4 singles. Magda Wojdylo improved to 2-0 in dual singles action with her 6-2, 6-1 win over Charlotte Wilson.

Lynn-Yin Tan won her 98th career singles match with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Maike Hartung. Tan, the current SEC Player of the Week, is now just two wins shy of becoming the third Gamecock women’s tennis player to ever reach the 100-win plateau.

USC hosts 2nd-ranked Vanderbilt Friday afternoon at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center on the USC campus at 2:00 p.m. Vanderbilt enters the match with 17 wins on the year, tops in all of college tennis.
