After firing the second lowest round of the day, the No. 22 University of South Carolina men’s golf team jumps four spots to finish the Country Club of Louisiana Collegiate in sixth place. In the process, USC beat five Southeastern Conference opponents.
UAB won the team title, shooting a three-day total of 856. The Blazer’s Graeme McDowell was low medalist, blasting a 12-under-par score of 204.
USC entered the final round of action in 10th place but had an impressive showing in the third round, shooting 287. The Gamecocks three-day total of 868, would land them in sixth place.
Johan Kok, who led the Gamecocks throughout the two-day tournament, shot two rounds of 70, helping him break into the top 20. Kok’s three-round score of 215, earned him a 15th place finish.
Also landing a spot in the top 20, Brent Delahoussaye, blasted a final round score of 69 to finish 19th. Freshman Martin Rominger continues to be an impact to the team, finishing in 24th with a low score of 218.
Nash Elliot and Scott Feaster closed out the Gamecock’s five-man squad. Elliot finished in 42nd place, while Feaster stood in 55th.
The Country Club of Louisiana Collegiate was the final fall tournament for the Gamecocks.
