SEC Women’s Tennis Championship
Hosted by University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC)

# 5 Tennesee Co-Coach Mike Patrick
“We’re finally getting players back from injury. It was a hot day, but overall I think we played ok. We have to keep working toward playing to our full potential. We aren’t there yet.”

(On tomorrow’s match against USC)
“They handled us easily a couple of weeks ago. We’re looking forward to playing them again. We must play to our full potential in order to give them a good match.”

Tennessee player Vilmarie Castellvi
“I was ready to play today and maybe my opponent wasn’t quite as ready.

(On the rain delay)
“When we came back outside, I knew that I would have to give it 100% to win because of the distraction.

(On tomorrow’s match against USC)
“Tomorrow will be a good match. We will give them a better battle than the last time we met them a couple of weeks ago.”

#12 Arkansas Coach Kevin Platt
“I’m proud of the way we competed. It wasn’t easy, being down a person and only able to compete with five players. It is draining for our players both emotionally and physically. We extended a match against a team that beat us more handily during the regular season. Tennessee was just the better team today. We have a couple of kids that are hurt and we are going to come back next year stronger. ”

Arkansas player Anna Dybicz
“I think we competed tough but unfortunately we were not at full strength. I don’t want to speculate on what would have happened if we were at full strength. I don’t want to take anything away from Tennessee, they played a great match.”
