SEC Women’s Tennis Championship
Hosted by University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC)

# 3 Vanderbilt Coach Geoff Macdonald
“I think we played well, struggled a bit in the first sets but came back strong in the second sets. Auburn played a feisty, good match”

“We’re happy to be in the semis and look forward to playing whoever it is that gets there. We’ve been down for a bit and this match, the girls really deserved it.”

Vanderbilt Player Jenny Miller
“We were a little off today, but I’ve always been told that a good team can win even on an off day. We fought hard and through it and that’s good to see.”

“Regardless of who we play in the semis, we’re going to fight hard. We’ve been training all year for this we want it bad. Our team has a big heart and a big will.”

#6 Auburn Coach Troy Porco
“I think we did a great job. We competed very hard. Competed very well in the singles and the doubles. We played them a couple of weeks ago and they really took it to us but today we played them very close. Vanderbilt is a really good team. The score doesn’t really indicate how close it was but the matches were really close and I am proud of the teams performance.”

Auburn Player Liz Sauerborn
“Our team played really well today. We were really there with the effort. We played as hard as we could and gave it our best shot.
