Columbia, S.C. – USC softball player Adrianna Baggetta was recently named to the Southeastern Conference At-Large Sports Good Works Team. The honor is awarded to student-athletes for their community service endeavors.
Baggetta, a senior, participates in several children’s charities in the Columbia area. She’s involved in the Fire Prevention program at a local elementary school and also reads to elementary students. The Chantilly, Va. native volunteers for the Palmetto Richland Children’s Hospital and the Columbia area Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Sport and Entertainment Management major made the second-team All-SEC in softball and is tied for sixth on USC’s all-time career homerun list..
The outfielder currently leads the Gamecocks with a .360 batting average and has six homeruns for the year. She was recently named to the SEC All-Tournament team following her 9-for-14, three RBI and seven runs scored performance in the tournament.
