Columbia, S.C. – The Gamecocks shot 292 in the third round of the Carpetl Capital Collegiate in Dalton, Ga., and finished the three-day tournament with a total of 879 to place 13th. Clemson won the team title with a three-round score of 850. Augusta State finished second, followed by UNLV.
Michael Maness carried the Gamecock team with a 10th place finish. Maness shot a three-round score of 213. He is the third Gamecock to post a top ten finish this season.
West Streib managed to shave off a few strokes as the tournament progressed and jumped to 36th place after firing 220 (75-72-73). Eirik Johanesn and Martin Rominger tied for 52nd after shooting 223. Closing out the five-man squad is Alex Hamilton, who placed 76th.
The Gamecocks take the month of October off before heading to Hawaii for the University of Hawaii/Turtle Bay Intercollegiate on Nov. 4-5.
