Columbia, S.C. – Fresh off Sunday’s 6-4 win vs. Clemson, the South Carolina baseball team (9-2) continues its 11-game homestand with a Tuesday evening game with Garnder Webb. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. and it is South Carolina’s first home night game of the 2003 season at Sarge Frye Field. Junior LHP David Marchbanks (3-0, 2.21 ERA) will start for Carolina.

The Gamecocks remain ranked sixth in the nation by Collegiate Baseball and 10th by Baseball America in the latest polls released Monday afternoon. South Carolina will host Furman on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before a weekend series with Radford.

Gardner Webb enters this weekend with an 8-4 record including five wins on the road. Gardner Webb opened the season winning two of three games at Georgia. David Futrelle leads the Bulldogs in hitting with a .404 batting average, two home runs and 13 runs batted in.
