COLUMBIA, S.C. – USC golfer Alex Hamilton shot a five-under-par, three-day total of 211(70-69-72) at the Rice Planters Tournament held at Snee Farm Country Club, in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Hamilton finished the tournament in a seventh place tie. The four-round tournament was reduced to three after inclement weather forced the cancellation of the first day of play. West Streib fired an even-par score of 216 (74-72-70) for the tournament and Nash Elliot shot a three-over-par 219 (74-73-72).

Adam Robinson, a recent graduate of Texas Christian University, won the tournament with a blistering 15-under-par total. Robinson’s score of 201 (67-68-66) tied the course record and was four strokes better than the runner-up.

The Rice Planters Tournament is recognized each year as one of the Top Ten Amateur Tournaments in the country. The Rice Planters Amateur Tournament is a non-profit organization that supports the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital, one of the Top Ten Children’s Hospitals in the USA.
