Columbia, S.C. – Former South Carolina golfers, Michael Christie and Kyle Thompson both had great showings at the Nationwide’s Reese’s Cup Classic in Hershey, Pa.

Christie, who earned All-American honors in 1992, finished sixth with a six-under-par score of 278. After firing a two-over-par 74 in the first round, Christie rebounded and shot under-par the rest of the tournament with score of 66, 69 and 69. This marks the best finish of the year for Christie.

Three-time All-American, Thompson, placed 29th at the Reese’s Cup Classic. Thompson shot a four-over-par 284 (69-70-70-75). Thompson’s best finish of the year was second place at the BMW Charity Pro-Am at the Cliffs. Thompson is currently ranked 16th on the money list. The top 20 money winners, at the end of the year, earn a PGA Tour Card.

On the PGA circuit former Gamecock All-American, Brett Quigley, finished fourth at the Greater Milwaukee Open.
