Greenville, S.C. – The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team captured two flight championships on Sunday at the Furman Fall Classic. Fallon Koon claimed the flight five championship with a 7-6(5),6-3 victory over Hilary Taylor of Iowa. The win improved Koon to 3-0 on the early season.

In Flight Six, sophomore Justine Walsh defeated teammate Magda Wojdylo in three sets to claim the title. Walsh dropped the first set 6-4, but took the next two 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the win.

Freshman Miranda Gutierrez placed second in the flight three singles tournament after dropping the final 6-2,6-1 to Annie Menees of Vanderbilt. Audrey George finished fourth in flight seven while Laura Ganzer also placed fourth in flight four. The Gamecocks are off until October 23–27 , when they participate in the Rolex Regional in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
