The University of South Carolina women’s golf team completed the three rounds of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Wednesday with a 15th place overall finish. The Gamecocks shot a 952 as a team over the 54 holes of the event held at the Palos Verdes Golf Course in Los Angeles, California.
UCLA won the team championship with a three-day-total of 876 while Bruin All-American Charlotte Mayorkas captured the individual medalist honors as she led from start to finish and had two sub-par rounds for her one-over par 207.
South Carolina Senior Adrienne Gautreaux tied for 18th place with a 227. Gautreaux shot a 78 Tuesday after opening the Tournament Monday with a 74. Senior Kory Thompson completed the three rounds with a 240 good enough to tie for 51st place. Sophomore Erica Battle shot a 245 for 62nd place while junior Tiffany Catafygiotu was one shot back at 246 as the Greenville native posted a 246. Freshman Jenna Pearson carded a 252 for a 74th place effort.

The Gamecocks return to the golf course for the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on March 5th through 7th.
