Columbia, SC –

Game times for this weekend’s NCAA Baseball Super Regional in Columbia, S.C., have been set by the NCAA and ESPN television. South Carolina (48-15), the host school, will square off against East Carolina (51-11) on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 12 noon at Sarge Frye Field. ESPN will televise both games nationally. If a third game is needed on Monday, game time will either be 1 p.m. or 7 p.m. and will be broadcast by either ESPN or ESPN2. All tickets have been sold for the Columbia Super Regional.

This marks South Carolina’s fifth straight appearance in an NCAA Super Regional. East Carolina is making its second showing in a Super Regional. The Gamecocks advanced to the Super Regional after defeating The Citadel and North Carolina twice this past weekend in Columbia. East Carolina came out of its Regional in Kinston, N.C., by defeating Stony Brook and UNC-Wilmington twice.

USC leads the all-time series against ECU 11-4. The two teams first met in 1958 and last faced one another in 2003, when Carolina won 4-0 in an NCAA Regional game at Atlanta, Ga.
