COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina junior golfer Eirik Johansen fired an 8-under-par, 64 on Thursday to claim a share of the 36-hole individual lead at the International European Amateur Championship. The 72-hole tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,215-yard Skovde Golf Club in Skovde, Sweden.

Johansen got his second round off to a strong start as he birdied the first three holes of the day to get to 5-under-par, through 21 holes. The junior then recorded five more birdies on the day for his second-round score of 32-32–64. That score gives Johansen a two-day total of 10-under-par, 70-64–134 and he is tied with Ireland’s Darren Crowe for the tournament lead.
