The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team have two members pre-season ranked in the 2004-05 ITA Rankings. Danielle Wiggins and Christyn Lucas, play at one and two singles for the Gamecocks and are ranked 25th and 111th in the preseason poll. Wiggins, a junior from Jacksonville, Florida recorded a 21-13 mark overall and a 15-8 record at No. 1 singles last season. Lucas, a sophomore from Miami, Florida totaled 21 wins and 12 losses during her freshman campaign. She recorded 12 of her 21 wins at number two singles. Wiggins and Lucas will lead the Gamecocks into their first action of the fall next weekend at the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, S.C.
