Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina will host Georgia Military in a junior varsity football game on Sunday at 3pm. The junior varsity game for South Carolina will be the second for the Gamecocks since Coach Lou Holtz has been in Columbia since 1999.

The two teams met last season in Columbia, and the Gamecocks held off a late rally by Georgia Military to win 31-30. Carolina has four players on its varsity team from Georgia Military: Corey Peoples, Jermaine Harris, Charles Silas, and DeAdrian Coley. A few USC players that will be featured in the junior varsity game on Sunday will be Mike Rathe, Charlie Carpenter, Tim Frisby, Blake Mitchell, James Thompson, Curtis Rice and David Smith. Georgia Military enters the game with a 2-4 record this season. Sunday’s kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. Admission is free.
