Columbia, S.C. –
The 25th-ranked University of South Carolina women’s tennis team will host their final two regular season matches this weekend at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Facility. The Gamecocks, 10-6 overall, and 4-4 in SEC play will host the 43rd-ranked Mississippi Rebels on Friday at 2:00 P.M. and 22nd-ranked Mississippi State at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday.

The Gamecocks took a 6-1 win against the Rebels in Oxford last season but dropped the first round SEC Tournament match against them, 4-3 in Nashville. Mississippi owns a 12-6 mark against the Gamecocks overall but Carolina has taken four of the last five.

USC owns a 15-1 mark against Mississippi State and they took a 4-3 nail-biter from the Bulldogs last season in Starkville. The only win for Mississippi State in the series came on March 19, 1989 when they took a 5-4 win in Columbia but the Gamecocks have taken 15 in a row since that day. On Sunday against the Bulldogs, it will be Senior Day as Carolina will honor their three seniors before the match.
