Columbia, S.C. –
The 23rd-ranked University of South Carolina womens tennis team will travel to Gainesville to play the seventh ranked Florida Gators on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.. USC enters the match with a 13-6 record overall and 6-4 in SEC play while the Gators are 14-2 overall and 8-2 in the conference.

This SEC battle is the final regular season match for both teams and both will be trying to improve on their position for the SEC Tournament. The Gators are tied for second in the SEC with Vanderbilt while the Gamecocks are tied for fifth with Tennessee. Florida and South Carolina both do not hold the tie-breaker in their ties as both teams dropped their regular season match against the Commodores and the Volunteers.

After the match on Sunday both teams will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to prepare for the 2005 SEC Tournament which will be held from April 21-24. Times and seedings for the tournament will be released on Monday, April 18th.
