COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina Head Football Coach Steve Spurrier welcomed 105 players to fall camp on Monday evening in the Crews Football Facility.

The coaching staff was introduced to the squad and announcements were made regarding equipment, strength and conditioning, compliance and academics. In addition, the players were given a presentation on interacting with the media.

“We are excited to get started,” said Coach Spurrier. “Most of the guys worked very hard this summer. The excitement and enthusiasm surrounding Carolina Football is very high among the coaches, players and fans. We can’t wait to get started.”

The Gamecocks take the practice field for the first time on Tuesday, August 2 beginning at 8 p.m. Practices through August 17 are open to both the public and media.
