Baker Elmore Bio

Why did you choose to attend the University of South Carolina?
I chose to attend USC because I really like Coach Blackmon and the guys that were on the team. The University Club also offers great practice facilities, which I am excited to be able to use.

How did you spend your summer?
Basically, I just played and lot of golf this summer and got to know the guys on the team.

What are the biggest adjustments you expect to have to make in moving from the high school ranks to the college ranks?
I just have to have a great short game and nothing short of that. Mediocre just won’t cut it.

What is your favorite golf course that you have played and why? I really enjoyed playing Westfield Golf Club in Ohio because the course was in immaculate shape and I loved the bent fairways as well as tee-boxes and greens.

What is the best part of your golf game?
chipping

Who has had the biggest influence on your golf career thus far?
My coach for the last six years, Steve Behr.

What do you consider the biggest highlight of your golf career thus far?
It would have to be winning The Blade or The Southern Cross.
