Chapel Hill, N.C. – Two of the South Carolina Gamecocks will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. to compete in the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament, which will take place October 13-17 on the University of North Carolina campus. Junior Laura Ganzer and freshman Natasa Vuckovic will compete for a regional title this weekend.
South Carolina will join Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke, North Carolina A&T, East Carolina, University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Charleston Southern, East Tennessee State, Winthrop, Appalachian State, Tennessee Tech, Longwood, Elon, South Carolina State, Kentucky, Wake Forest, Eastern Kentucky, Davidson, Charlotte, Furman, Gardner-Webb, University of North Carolina-Greensboro, University of North Carolina-Wilmington, Tennessee and Liberty in competition.
Natasa Vuckovic kicks off singles competition on Friday at 8:00 a.m. against Melissa Mang of Duke. Laura Ganzer opens up singles competition Friday at 3:00 p.m. against Lisa Suggs of UNC-Greensboro. Vuckovic and Ganzer will take on Masha Ilina and Sylwia Ziolkowska of East Tennessee State in doubles competition Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
