DALLAS – The South Carolina men’s soccer team (10-6-2) meets Memphis in the Conference USA Tournament semifinals Friday at 6 p.m. ET at Westcott Field on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Fans can follow the action live via Gametracker on the Gamecocks’ official athletic web site, USCsports.com, or on Conference USA’s site, ConferenceUSA.com.

Carolina is the No. 2 seed in the tournament, while Memphis, the 2004 Conference USA Tournament champion, is the sixth seed. After playing to a 0-0 tie, the Gamecocks advanced past Kentucky in the first round. Memphis knocked off No. 3 seed UAB in the first round on Wednesday. With match tied 1-1, the Blazers scored an own goal and the Tigers went on to win, 2-1.

The other semifinal match, set for 8:30 p.m. ET, features No. 8 seed Tulsa and No. 5 seed Marshall. Both teams pulled upsets in the opening round on Wednesday. Tulsa and No. 1 seed SMU battled to a 2-2 tie before the Golden Hurricane eliminated the host team, 5-4, on penalty kicks. Marshall defeated No. 4 seed Florida International, 2-0. The winners of the two semifinals will compete for the C-USA Tournament title and the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live nationally on College Sports Television.

South Carolina has marched to a 10-1-2 record after starting the season 0-5-0. Memphis owns an 8-7-2 record. The two teams met for the first time ever during the 2005 regular season, playing to a 2-2 tie on the Tigers’ home field.
