December 8, 2005

Dear Gamecock Fans:

Thank you for your tremendous support of Carolina Football throughout the 2005 season. Your support helped propel us to a 7-4 record and a second place finish in the SEC Eastern Division.

With your support, we were able to win five straight Southeastern Conference games for the first time in school history, win at Tennessee for the first time ever and defeat Florida for the first time since the 1930s.

Now we have a chance to finish the season on a high note at the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La. on Friday, December 30, when we take on the Missouri Tigers out of the Big 12 Conference. Our team is excited about this game and we hope you are too.

Over the years, Carolina has earned the reputation of having some of the best fans in the country and we look for a great turnout of Gamecock fans at the bowl game. We hope you will make plans to join us in Shreveport, color the town Garnet and Black and cheer us on to victory. However, if you are unable to attend the game, you can still help out by purchasing tickets to the game and donating them to the service men and women stationed in the Shreveport area. This is a great way for you support your university and assist the people who serve our country.

To order your bowl game tickets or for more information on the ticket donation program, please contact the Carolina Athletics Ticket Office at 803-777-4274 or 800-472-3267.

Thanks again and we will see you in Shreveport.
